<description>Hi Theory! This is Kiera (aka "Koco Furse" in SL). SL isn't letting me log in right now to reply to your IM. In the future, gmail is the best way to reach me (kiera.feldman). That said, thanks for your note. Deborah told me she also heard from you. I think we should definitely be in touch! It sounds like our projects have
similar guiding philosophies (if that's the right way to phrase
it...). I'm so glad to hear that you are also interested in archiving.
Right now we're having discussions about where to take the project,
and archiving OSMOSA's evolution might be the major area on which we
focus our attention. As Deborah noted, 'RL architects in SL' have a
concrete goal: creating a *good* design. With OSMOSA, I think we're
less interested in having a goal of a "good" museum with "good" art;
rather, it's about seeing how people argue over ideas of "good" and
"bad." As such, a record of that dialogue is important.

We're still discussing if we want to make it so that things can be
deleted entirely. At first we were going to make an OSMOSA group (as
you suggest). Although, if deleting isn't an option, doesn't that
basically enforce use of the archive room? My first thoughts are that
that's a good thing (but then I'm not sure how much 'enforcement' is
in the spirit of the project). Presently, the basement is our 'archive
room' but it is definitely underused. We have a list of OSMOSA rules
regarding can copy/can mod on one of the walls in the museum, and a
request to use the archive room is on there. Do you have any
suggestions on how else to encourage use of the archive room?

Last thing for now: we've started up an OSMOSA blog
(osmosa.blogspot.com). We are going to publicly post the password and
encourage people to document changes to OSMOSA on the blog (eg before
and after photos, transcripts of chats with people asking them to
change modifications, assorted negotiations and arguments that are
bound to take place in the space). Have any thoughts/suggestions?

Look forward to hearing from you!
